Barton-under-Needwood's
Teddy Festival
Sat 5th & Sun 6th September 2026
From 11.30am til 4.30pm
This year, we are raising funds for the Young Ones, Burton on Trent. This wonderful charity delivers emergency and gift boxes for disadvantaged local children to ensure they have dignity and support at times of crisis or isolation.

Barton Teddy Festival was set up back in the nineties as a village festival. While the centrepiece is no doubt our Teddy Bear rides (which are rides for teddies, you read that correctly), we hope we’ve created a village event that everyone can enjoy.
Ready, Teddy, Go!
Finally, Festival weekend is upon us. As I type, scarecrows are going up all over the village, and rides are taking shape. most of the action is in and around the churchyard, but don’t forget to check out the Barton Belle at the pond, and take in the glories of everything the Marina has to offer.
Buying Passports
We’re changing the passport system this year. Buy your passport at the site office, just outside the Main St church gates, and then go through passport control at your leisure. No need to queue up for passport control before you go to a ride, you can come back when the queues are shorter, any time over the weekend.
Get involved!
Every year, over a hundred volunteers give us a couple of hours of their time. When you’ve done it once, you’ll want to come again! To open new rides, and to give our “old hands” the chance to retire, we need more volunteers. Can you help?
